EMBRATUR – Brazilian Tourism Institute

Embratur is the special autarchy within the Ministry of Tourism, responsible for carrying out the National Tourism Policy, as far as the promotion, marketing and support to trading of destinations, services and Brazilian tourism products in the international market are concerned.

In works in the generation of social and economic development to the Country, through the increase of the international tourism flows to the national destinations. It has, for such purpose, the “Aquarela Plan – Brazil’s International Tourism Marketing” as the guiding to its action programs.

It had its duties directed exclusively to the international promotion since 2003, with the establishment of the Ministry of Tourism.
